We are very proud of the contribution made by Inclusion Melbourne volunteers who offer their time and skills to enhance the lives of people with disabilities. We have over 170 volunteers and their dedication, imagination and enthusiasm is inspirational.
Volunteer participation is one of Inclusion Melbourne’s most vital strategies for reducing social isolation and creating communities who value and practise community inclusion. Inclusion Melbourne volunteers provide a wealth of supplementary services, raise awareness and understanding about people with disabilities and the work of Inclusion Melbourne. Volunteers are a much appreciated asset who share our commitment to building a more inclusive place for people with disabilities in Melbourne.

What qualities are we looking for in volunteers?

There are certain qualities common in all our volunteers to be friendly, responsive, trust-worthy and to have basic common sense.

What volunteer opportunities are available at Inclusion Melbourne?

There are plenty of opportunities to choose from. The roles described below are the most common however from time to time we recruit for specialist positions such as fundraising, event support, administrative support, resource development, research, marketing, development of educational materials, promotional, coordinating international friendship and fundraising groups. We also welcome your ideas for volunteer roles and projects, which will enhance our disability support services.
